We offer two different types of damping systems: gap damping and adjustable damping. Both options provide effective cushioning, but with different features and adjustability.

Gap damping is a robust and reliable solution where a narrow gap is placed either at the top or bottom of the cylinder. As the oil passes through the gap, natural braking is created, reducing the speed of the piston and minimizing the risk of collision. The damping effect in this solution is constant and not adjustable after cylinder production.

On the other hand, we also offer adjustable damping, where a bypass bore with a throttle valve is built into either the top or bottom of the cylinder. This solution allows you to adjust the damping effect, which means the speed can be customized to your specific needs.
