Customised cylinders for marine

Hydraulic cylinders for marine

Based on the newly developed marine standard cylinder program HM22, Hydraflex delivers both standard and customized cylinders for one of the most demanding industries.

Our standard HM22 program is always based on piston rods in stainless steel 1.4418 and an optimal sealing system that ensures high uptime and long service life.

We have experience with cylinders for A-frames, subsea, deck cranes, deck handling equipment, moonpool, winch brake and spool.

If our standard cylinders don’t fit your application, our experienced engineers and designers are ready to guide you and work with you to create a custom cylinder. We are used to handling small batch sizes, high quality and short and reliable delivery times.

DNV and 3rd party certified

The cylinders are designed and calculated according to DNV-ST-0194 Standard for Hydraulic cylinders.

We can offer 3rd party certification in cooperation with the following classification societies DNV (DNVGL), LR Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas and others. This allows us to cover most requirements in a maritime environment.

You decide whether the cylinders should be manufactured according to 3rd party regulations, with or without certification.

Proper surface treatment is essential to ensure longevity and durability. At Hydraflex, we work with several external partners, including Jotun, International, Hempel and Teknos, to deliver in exactly the paint system you specify. Our painting processes follow international standards such as Norsok M-501 and C5H ISO 12944, ensuring high quality and protection of our cylinders against corrosion and wear.
